Grilled mushrooms are a versatile and delicious barbecue side dish, perfect with meats or vegetables. Today, we’ll show two tasty ways to prepare mushrooms:

Mushrooms with garlic butter – simple, aromatic, and rich in flavor.
Stuffed mushrooms wrapped in bacon – hearty and savory, ideal for a more substantial side.

Preparing both versions together is easy and they complement each other beautifully on the grill.

Ingredients

Ingredients for Grilled Mushrooms
500 g mushrooms

Optional Variations
Stuffed Grilled Mushrooms
200 g chicken breast, finely chopped or minced
2 tablespoons olive oil (tomato-infused oil works well)
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon sweet paprika
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
100 g boiled bacon, thinly sliced

Grilled Mushrooms with Garlic Butter
50 g butter, softened
1 large garlic clove, crushed
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
Salt, to taste

Instructions

Clean the mushrooms using a dry paper towel to remove dirt. If washing, do so quickly to prevent them from soaking up water.
Remove the stems. Reserve larger caps for stuffing.

Stuffed Grilled Mushrooms
Mince or finely chop the chicken breast.
Mix the meat with olive oil and season with oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Fill the larger mushroom caps with the seasoned meat.
Wrap each stuffed mushroom with a slice of bacon. Optionally, sprinkle with chilli flakes for extra heat.

Grilled Mushrooms with Garlic Butter
Mix softened butter with crushed garlic and chopped parsley.
Season with salt and add a small amount to each mushroom cap.
Grilling Instructions
Preheat the grill to 250°C by setting the burners to maximum.
Turn the knobs to medium heat once the grill reaches temperature.
Place the garlic butter mushrooms on the top shelf of the grill and cook for 20 minutes. Do not flip them during grilling.
For the last 5 minutes, place the stuffed mushrooms on the grill to lightly cook the bacon. Maintain an average grilling temperature of 200°C.
