Cook Time: 15 mins
Serves: 6 tacos

Crispy smash burger tacos loaded with juicy minced beef, melted cheese, fresh lettuce, pickles, and a creamy homemade burger sauce — ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

6 small tortillas or taco wraps
300 g minced beef
Salt & black pepper, to taste
6 slices cheese
1 small onion, finely diced
A few sweet pickled gherkins, sliced
Lettuce, shredded

Burger Sauce
4 tbsp mayonnaise
2 tbsp ketchup
2 tbsp mustard
Salt & pepper, to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Toppings

Finely dice the onion and shred the lettuce. Slice the pickled gherkins.

Make the Burger Sauce

In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Set aside.

Form the Beef Balls

Divide the minced beef into 6 equal portions (about 50 g each) and roll into balls.

Preheat the Grill or Pan

Heat a plancha or frying pan over medium heat and lightly oil the surface.

Smash the Tacos

Place a beef ball onto the hot surface, then immediately place a tortilla on top. Press down firmly using tongs or a spatula to flatten.

Cook & Flip

Cook for 2–3 minutes until the beef is browned and crispy. Flip the taco, then place a slice of cheese on the beef side.

Melt the Cheese

Move to indirect heat (or lower heat) and cook until the cheese is melted.

Assemble the Tacos

Fold the taco and fill with lettuce, onions, pickles, and a generous drizzle of burger sauce.
